Mariners Training Centers – borne of a partnership between the team and EL1 Sports – are harnessing the power of sport to build community and character, to promote equity and access, and to instruct and educate the next generation of young athletes.
Who We Are
The Mariners Training Centers are collectively, the Pacific Northwest baseball and softball programming division of EL1 Sports. EL1 is a Tacoma-based national sports training company created by athletes, coaches, and educators who believe in the transformative power of sport to make a difference in people’s lives both on and off the field.
From kids who are first hefting a bat and learning the rules of the game all the way up to athletes who are eyeing college scholarships or even the pro draft, the young men and women who train with us benefit from a carefully designed learning environment that challenges and empowers them every day. Our baseball and softball instructors prepare thoughtful progressions that are centered on building skills and knowledge of the game.
WHAT WE DO
Baseball
Formerly known by our corporate name, EL1 Sports, our 5-and-counting Mariners Training Centers, are the hub of baseball activity in the Northwest, providing expert instruction to teams, individuals, and coaches in all facets of the game, and now also beginning to serve as home for many of the Mariners highly regarded community programs.
Softball
The Mariners Training Centers have dedicated softball instruction, run for and by women, using the programs we have developed over the years under the name “Softball University.”
Quickball
EL1 Quickball provides a high-speed, low-pressure entry point into the games of baseball and softball for young kids, and fun developmental and mechanical training for older athletes.
Tournaments
Premier Sports Tournaments is the umbrella division for several baseball and softball league/tournament brands we have developed or acquired over the years, including West Coast Premier Tournaments, GSL Tournaments, Seattle Elite Baseball, Seattle Premier League, and Our Game Fastpitch.
Football
RISE Football Academy is our gridiron offering, operating out of some of the Mariners Training Centers and nearby towns, providing training, camps, and competitive play in 5-on-5, 7-on-7, and tackle football formats.

Partnering with MLB
The Mariners Training Centers are a product of the partnership agreement forged in 2022 between EL1 Sports and Major League Baseball, designed to grow accessibility and engagement in youth baseball and softball. The partnership supports sustainable, innovative grassroots programing – led by MLB teams in each of their regions.

State-of-the-art Facilities
Our Mariners Training Centers are being enhanced and expanded and will become not just state-of-the-art instructional facilities, but also community hubs to serve and celebrate local athletes from all walks of life. Each facility is equipped with turf, netting, performance enhancement equipment, configurable training stations, and next-generation technology like HitTrax, Rapsodo and Diamond Kinetics – as well as seating and viewing areas for families.
